Every time I get them out I spray the inside with water before putting the lid back on which seems to help though obviously you can't do that if it's a tube but they seem to be less of a problem. So get in their girl and use them up. That's a good enough excuse to do more I hope. But, yep, like you, a dark base layer requires it, although ‘it’ is generally a mount size piece stuck on the inside face, not a folded insert per se.
