Welcome back deskers, time to meet at Julia's The Stamping-Ground for our latest week's desk snoop..
We've had the date for Sarah's funeral and celebration of life in November and the service will be live streamed and the family will post details later. .
I have been shopping this week, lots of goodies came through the door... on 2 occasions. I blame Paperartsy totally...
first off was this pile...the 2 minis at the bottom were out of stock (or not yet arrived) when I put in the first order, otherwise I may not have got the rest of the second batch...
yeah, right)
I had a play with some of the top goodies on Sunday
I used my square journal
the blue paint, Dusk, is a beautiful colour (I mixed it a bit on the page but on it's own it is gorgeous.)
I hope you all survived storms Austen and Boelo, I did think about leaving Kew till Sunday as the weather was forecast better/sunnier, but in the end Saturday was ok - it did rain a bit whilst I was there, and the wind wasn't bad at the time.
I'll be round to visit as soon as I can, happy WOYWW and fingers crossed Lynne's broadband gets sorted soon!

Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteAiming for visits on the day for a change :D
Oh love that square journal page. Whoever said "Blue and Green should never be seen" was a fool. Loving the macro photos too. I wonder where my little clip on set has gotten to...?

That’s a beautiful page and the Dusk colour is gorgeous, my favourite 🤩. Hope you have fun playing with all that new stash! I’m glad your wrist is up to carrying a heavy camera around Kew, that’s good news!

Thanks for your good wishes for my broadband; we had to change as with Digital voice you can't have landline and broadband with different providers. Still no news so it looks like it will be Friday at the earliest.
ReplyDeleteYour journal page is lovely, how inconsiderate of Paper Artsy to put so much temptation your way😀. I love that blue, too.
I was struck today how stylish and geometric your close-ups are, they’d make a calendar anyone would buy. Deskers and other followers would for certain. Using your macro lens is great exercise!
Happy WOYWW

Hello Helen, So nice to see all your lovely new goodies. Your blue page is gorgeous. I see from Jan's post that there's another floor crafter amongst our number - she's in good company! I think you did right to go to Kew on Saturday if Sunday up here is anything to go by - it was wild. I'm glad you're able to use your big camera again. Those are beautiful autumnal photos. Happy WOYWW and have a great week. Hugs Elizabeth x #13

ReplyDeleteWell it rained in stair rods nearly all day here, so your Kew experience was good luck. Lovely photos, I hope the macro lens didn’t wear your wrist out! I live the two sets of shopping, have to say there’s nothing that I wouldn’t like myself- usually you manage at least one thing that frightens me, but not this time! I might have been enabled…if only for a pot of blue paint!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's always so much fun to get new artsy goodies. That page you made is SO pretty, and so are your nature photos. Hope your wrist continues to heal and Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteOOOH! Lot's of new toys! I love the stencils, I made my own mushroom stencils awhile ago! I love the stamp of the girl in the hat! Glad you used that one first! Kew photos are lovely as usual, the close up lens works well! Lindart #15🍂
