Happy Wednesday, deskers. Hope you are all well, and those that are not, are recovering. Tis time to join with the WOYWW crowd again
I have some upcoming birthdays in May, and used the theme I liked so much when i got these stamps, deciding to repeat them (with new words though)I added some more stencilled layers to this page from last week, but still no main focal point has struck me yet.
I seem to be in a very yellow/orange phase at present, it must be the spring bulbs popping up everywhere
and yes, that stamp again! I do love that grid stencil (it's the Paperartsy one I got a couple of weeks ago)
you do need a light touch not to get splodges - this is ink so easier to manage, not tried it with paint yet
the camassia are in full flower they are beautiful
again, not added words, or a focal point
and the link for Kew, which was colourful and bright last Saturday.
the camassia are in full flower they are beautiful
I did think about lying down for the shot but the ground was quite damp
see you soon.

Fab artwork this week Helen - so cheerful and colourful. The cards are lovely - I just stood on my head to read the sentiment 🤣🤣x x Jo 🌈
ReplyDeleteOn the floor again, lol! 😂😂 Worth it for some great shots of those beautiful flowers at Kew. That stencil is a good one, no wonder you’re enjoying using it!

You’ve got some lovely colour ways there Helen. I could see them as fabrics

At our age before getting down on the floor we need a plan of how to get up after lol Love your pages today…very Spring inspired.

Those lovely colours make me think you must be feeling in a positive mood at the moment, maybe the sun shining helps. Great photos from Kew too. Happy woyww, Angela x9x
ReplyDeleteI use the same focal points too often :) Lovely Kew. So sorry for a 2nd generic post - feeling a slight improvement so next week back to normal?
ReplyDeleteHappy slightly doped-up WOYWW!

Ah Helen your Kew photos always grab me, I love them, but your artwork is lovely too especially yellow pink pages. Happy WOYWW, Shaz in Oz.x 🙏🏻🤗
ReplyDeleteWonderful pages, I love your colour combos.
ReplyDeleteAs always lovely photos for Kew, looks like this w/e will be nice too.
Have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx#7
I love the swan photo, and the tulips with the sun shining through...beautiful! At some point you will come back to your pages with the perfect idea! Actually, I can see that swan on one of those pages...maybe printed out onto tissue paper... Have a wonderful week, Lindart #16🌹🌹
ReplyDeleteGreat Kew day, love Kim’s shot of you almost standing, I have one of you lying down at Trentham so I know that you would have! I do like that stencil too, and I totally hear what you’re saying about paint v ink, I seem to be attracted to thin outline stencils and they do not like my paint hand!! Love the birthday cards, that berry branch stamp is so nice.
ReplyDeleteI can’t log into Google from my phone, so I’m commenting anonymously, not like me at all! Julia xx
ReplyDeleteYou got some beautiful patterns out of those stamps!
ReplyDeleteI agree the stamping for the cards is super, good to opt for something that works so well. Like the splash of pink on your 1st page and the grid stencil on the 2nd. Amazing tulip photo and the swan's wings. Kim is funny catching you like that but it's a great photo. Hugs Bj#14
ReplyDeleteOoh I do like the yellow and pink one especially, really nice and yep, very blossomy (is that a word?!!). Lol.

Lovely pages! Those with the layered stencils. I also like the stamped backgrounds even if they are upside down. ;D
