Welcome once more , fellow deskers, Wednesday again, time for WOYWW at Sarah's CraftShed .
I am about to put in an order for some new Paperartsy stamps (oops) and hoping by writing this first I won't order all of them.....
so let me share what happened to last week's journal page.
I added some collage tissue (the faces) and a bit of transparency (the pattern) and some stamped words from a Dina setoh yes, and some stencilled lines (top left bottom right) and some script stamping in the background, using a toning ink colour (toning so well that I can't see it in the photo !)
Kim and I were surprised on Saturday at Kew by some sunny spells - it was meant to be cloudy - but no complaints!
sun behind clouds gives an almost black and while feel to the trees.
There’s so many layers to your journal page! I’d have had no idea what was involved so thank you for the description - I do love a bit of collage but am rubbish at creating it! Goldie is a beautiful splash of colour in an otherwise monochrome pic!

Love the latest journal page and it’s good to hear how you layer it up. Goldie is such a cheery sight.

Fabulous journal page and interesting to hear how you layered it up, I love the colours against the black and white, it's really striking. The tree photo is gorgeous, I would frame that and have it on the wall - I love winter trees. Goldie is stunning - how lucky to get so close to him - looks like he's used to people.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,

Oh the journal page turned out really well! Love the faces..cant see the lines but my sad eyes and an iPad are probably more to blame than I'd like to admit!
ReplyDeleteYour journal page must have taken ages to build up the beautiful layers. I'd lose patience! I love the monochrome look in your trees photo.x x Jo 🌈
ReplyDeleteHi Helen
ReplyDeleteSomeday I'll start playing in collage journals again. you inspire me. Just not enough hours in the day.
That Golden Pheasant is so pretty and the trees providing a silhouette is stunning. You are so good with your camera.
