WOYWW 749

Time again for WOYWW - desk sharing day with Julia at The Stamping-Ground.

I bet you're expecting me to say I've done nothing (again) but you'd be wrong..

I spent a little while on Sunday - and it didn't take long at all -  making some backgrounds   (A4 sheets of card)
using my go-to Magenta (wood mounted of course) stamps
for Christmas backgrounds.
I don't think they were intended as Christmas designs, but they always give me that impression and I use them year after year for this purpose

Mainly because it's quick, and you can vary the colours you use so much

and can cut them up to get LOADS of bits to mount onto card blanks.

a few quick seasonal sentiments and Bob's your uncle...or he will be!

Next it's Kew... Saturday (down here in the South at least ) was beautiful, I know Scotland had lots and lots of rain.

this was taken through the gate waiting to be let in.

stunning colours.
low down shooting again.

Thanks for looking, ad happy WOYWW

  1. I especially LOVE the first two. They don't look like Christmas colors, but they are certainly beautiful.

Sorry I haven't made it to Kew in two weeks. I just can;t seem to sit for any length of time lately. No number yet, but trying to get a few people visited before I head to bed.

  8. I see what you mean about those stamps not really being Christmassy but give the impression of it, I think they’re fab and it’s also really good to do something in non Christmas colours! Lovely colour from Kew, those yellows really pop!

  9. They look Christmas-y enough, or will do with your festive words - A4 will give you plenty to work with! I have not thought of Magenta stamps is eons but they were quality so you will still be using them in a decade!

    Happy WOYWW Day!

  12. A great idea to make you think that you have a t least made a start on Christmas! Might have to do something similar myself!
Sorry for my absence here! I seem to have more trouble commenting these days than ever before - after around three failures I easily give up!
Going to try and comment on Kew again!

  16. Sorry I'm so late this week! Along with the Mammogram on Wednesday, we got our Covid and flu boosters yesterday, so my arm is rather sore! Great backgrounds! I need to start thinking of Christmas as well. I love the red coming out on those vines! Have a great week, Lindart #19
