WOYWW 640

Hey peeps, here we are again, time for another desk sharing day with Julia for WOYWW    (What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday, week 640)

I made some time to play with my Dina gloss sprays on Sunday  through stencils
then I used one in the Kraft journal with some stamped images
and a couple more pages part done

then I ran out of oomph!!

I had another lovely morning at Kew last Saturday

you can see here

No early start this weekend though as there is a fun run taking place and the gardens aren't opening till 11 so I get a lie in first!

That's all from me today,  have a good week and happy desk day!

  3. Enjoy your lie-in this week Helen! Another great tour of Kew. I wonder, does Kew know you do this? It would be a great resource for them.

  4. I keep seeing these gorgeous journal pages but still can't get the right feeling to do my own. I need to find a style that suits me but I know it wont come by sitting here saying I don't have one. Maybe it would be a good way to use up some of the old stash. I must be brave! I must be brave!...The sun is shining and it looks like being a lovely woyww day so hope yours is happy and full of smiles x19x

  5. Great journal pages, loving this spray through a stencil technique, have you tried following it up with stamping through the stencil as well? makes the spray look totally different.
    Have fun

  10. I love all those late summer/autumn daisies - they cheer us up before winter descends. Your journal pages a re fab - I don't seem to have the oomph for much more than a bit of knitting . Let's hope my real creativity comes back in the Autumn. xx Jo

  11. You may have run out of "oomph" but you certainly made the most of it while it lasted! Super pages - I especially like the stencilling on the last two pages. Good that you get a lie-in this weekend, although if you're anything like me you'll be up getting up even earlier than usual LOL. I only want a lie-in when I can't have one! 13. I love your leafy stencil pieces, Helen. The shape is reminiscent of the new leaf trail cutting file I've just made. What a simply beautiful display of flowers at Kew!

  14. I would be the one having a lie in every Saturday….of course! Loving the oomph production, all that loveliness, not surprised you ran out, it’s more productive than I’ve seen on your desk for ages! And of course, looks fab, currently loving the orangey yellow tags, and the circle page in the Kraft album in that teal-y blue….made me look twice, love it.

  17. Thanks for your visit, Helen. I was most intrigued to read your insights re the different kinds of stamps. I agree there is something very nice about the wood-mounted ones but I don't think they are very easy to use. I only have one now, which is my "hand made by..." to go on the back of cards, and it's not very easy to line it up so that it doesn't come out crooked. They also take up a lot of room if you've got more than a few. If you have so many, how do you store them, and organise them so that you can find what you need? I've seen some people's craft rooms and they dispay them to great effect - en masse they are very decorative, aren't they. Most people probably wouldn't have the space for that, though. With my cling-mount ones I find it better to use my TH stamp platform, but I always have to do a practice run first or I can't get them placed just right. I'm not very good at stamping, and must be the only one who can mess up stamping with a stamp platform!!

I'm glad you enjoyed seeing my recycled DVD project. The colours from the foil on them did come out amazing, didn't they. I am going to be cutting some more sheets of useful stuff on my machine soon. Time I used it a bit more!

Thank you for your good wishes for my upcoming treatment.

  22. Thanks for your visit yesterday. I’m sorry to say I was head down sewing all day so I didn’t manage one visit so I’m getting round my favourites before I get back in my sewing room this morning.
I really love what you’ve been busy with but you made me chuckle when you said you’d run out of oomph.....I know that feeling well 😂

  23. Ooh I really like the last two! I have to say I love the effect of the gloss sprays and always use as close to every scrap that I make with them, especially the overspray sheets, but I have not been called to my art journal in a while. I'm sure I will be sometime, but not yet. When I do I'll follow your lead and grab those sprays. :)

    Happy WOYWW!
