WOYWW 629

Morning deskers, it's Wednesday again...   Time to meet with Julia again for WOYWW

my gorgeous Shaz tribute from Debbie arrived

Thank you so much Debbie, it is truly beautiful.

Now to find somewhere fitting to display it!

I made some more journal pages

I may have inadvertently misled you last week
the $5 monthly cost for the Dina Wakley group isn't classes as such but a facebook supporters group - you pay your sub and get free facebook "live" sessions/demonstrations

which you are then free to have your own go -
whichever way, it seems a bargain to me.

I also made a birthday card for one of my cousins, her birthday is Friday, the day before mine (she's a year older!)
I am running low on this size card blank in white (6x6 inch)  so used cream

She won't see this here so am safe to post it

which brings us to Kew last weekend - all pics here

but a couple to tempt you

love these daisy types
and you know I love alliums!

I will be there again on Saturday of course, can't not have a trip to Kew for my birthday- hoping for sunshine but currently the forecast is drizzle and not exactly warm.... hey ho!!

Thanks for looking .see you soon - work is mega busy, with the mortgage stamp duty holiday coming to an end on the 30th so we are flat out trying to make sure everyone completes their purchases in time where possible.. so I may not get time at lunchtime to do my usual desk visiting  .

  1. Isn't Debbie generous Helen - I have a tribute too. Great card and journal pages. The FB subscription group sounds a cool idea as you can catch up on FB lives after the event. Happy WOYWW. Stay safe. Sarah #?

  2. Lovely journal page and the card as well. I have a mix of white and cream card blanks but def. running low on white. Loved the ATC, got mine too. Debbie is a clever girl, isn’t she? Kew looks lovely as ever, and yeah, I’d love to join in the FB thing but no way I will give them my details. Ah well.

    Have a great Woyww

  3. I had planned to get back to your Kew post on Sunday, but life got in the way. I'm so far behind, I just got my post for WOYWW finished about 20 minutes ago. I am sorry. I?ll try to get back sometime this week, but I know I'll be by for your birthday.

LOVE that card you made and Debbie's tribute is awesome. Happy WOYWW from # 5.

  6. Happy Birthday for Saturday.
I can see you getting a lot out of the Dina group but it would be no good me joining something like that. So many times I have paid for an online class and never done it, then could not find it - I am the same with digi images. Just got such a scatter brain!
Look forward to seeing your makes.
    Hugs, Neet 10 xx

  7. I was fortunate enough to receive a Shaz tribute from Debbie too, it’s so perfect to remember her by. Debbie is a quiet unsung genius, I think. Love that card with the text down both sides, that really appeals, your much older cousin (!) will love it. Happy Birthday for later btw, hope you have a fun day!

  8. I expect you are flat out, blimey, houses round here have been changing hands at an incredible rate! I love the daisy types too, just that one picture makes me swoon, it’s perfect. I reckon the five quid sub is a bargain too, anyone wanting to get into mixed media or just try a bit, well, not much to lose huh, before being dragged into a whole other world of new stash!!

  9. That is so kind of Debbie to send you that gorgeous piece, what a treasure. Loving the journal pages and the card is so stylish. I've got one of Dina's old books and they are very inspiring. Nice photos of the flowers too. Have fun and a happy woyww, Angela x17x

  10. Morning, my Debbie tribute arrived too. It's amazing isn't it!? Card looks great and your pages, and as always, Kew looks great too. We went to Montisfort yesterday. Roses looked a bit washed out and it was a lot busier than last time we went. Stay safe, Happy WOYWW ((Lyn)) #15

  11. Debbie must have been working day and night on these beauties! So generous of her! Interestingly, whenever I sign up for paid classes, I rarely complete them (other than my first couple of LifeBooks years ago) - but I seem to thrive on free classes - go figure! Love your pages - definitely see the Dina influence in them. Love the daisy shot as well - I have a few in pots, but they're not doing very well for some reason. Might be better off planted out. Happy WOYWW! xx zsuzsa #21

  14. I’m just grabbing a quick break and catching up with all my favourite blogs while I get the chance...the world and his wife are needing sewing at the mo so I’m keeping busy.
I really love your Shaz tribute. She will be in our hearts for ever won’t she? I hope you have a wonderful birthday on Saturday and the sun shines for you.

  16. Happy WOYWW. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous flower photos. I love daisies too (our garden is full of them at the moment). Pretty card for your cousin. Happy Birthday for Saturday. We finally completed on our house purchase last week - our offer was accepted on 2nd December, so it took over 6 months (all sorts of hold ups with the sellers). No Stamp Duty issue here in relatively cheap Pembrokeshire - we bought a very nice 3 bedroom house for £131,000. Ali x #24
