WOYWW 456

I can't quite believe it's time for another WOYWW but here we are... hopefully surviving the cold snap currently enveloping the UK.. we are forecast for more severe weather at the end of the week...
If it comes off, I hope that I can get to Kew, my dream for I don't know how long is to be there when it's snowy.  Being Britain though, as soon as there is any degree of snow, trains stop running.. we are told not to travel "unless absolutely necessary" and things grind to a halt... whatever happened to British grit and determination!!    It drives me scatty.

But till then, it's time for desk sharing again.  it's Wednesday, it's WOYWW

I did think I wouldn't be able to add the picture as blogger wasn't playing nicely to start with..
but you can see my latest "layer" for my France Papillon facebook spread... and a little row of my newest Paperartsy paints that haven't made it into the storage boxes (clear boxes, to the right of the photo) - they will get there soon, honest!

Thank you to everyone who left kind comments about the workshop pieces last week, I do really love both of them - and the "face" will go up on the wall .. once I decide where to put it, and probably mount it (i.e. don't hold your breath!)

Have a good week, and keep warm and safe!

Been missing in action for a few weeks so just had to have a nosey at your past pieces that you mentioned - and I have to say I LOVE your altered book and the face - what fabulous work and I totally agree the face needs to go on the wall - it's beautiful.

  8. Hi Helen, I totally agree- a handful of snowflakes fall out of the sky and it's warnings everywhere, and everything grinds to a halt. I blame peoples natural inability to use common sense anymore, lol Or not being born with any! Love the colours on your page, so mellow. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #3 XxX

  9. The beginnings of your journal spread looks great! I know what you mean about warnings of bad weather - I used to walk to school in all weathers if the buses couldnt run - we did live out in the country - but they nearly always ran! Hugs,Chrisx

  11. Ooh Wow Helen, I have been in such awe of the garden shots you have posted in the past that would be so breath-taking to be in to see the snow on everything. :) Hopefully you can get there some time. (are their tourist trap hotels somewhere close that you could check in and walk to it?)
The depth in the journal pages colors is just awesome too. ~Stacy #28

  14. Hi helen, we are also suffering from the cold weather. You like the paperartsy paints a lot by the look of the filled boxes, I have only 2 but am not overly excited about them. thx for your visit earlier, I knew about my link but decide not to do anything with my quadruppel linking a couple of weeks still in the back of my head and tada yulia fixed it, have a lovely week, till next time, Vicky

  16. Good Morning! I woke up this morning aware that it was Wednesday for once! Glad to hear you are going to frame the face! Love all the new paints...I went and splurged a bit at Michael's and bought some paints and other stuff to play with. I am trying to art journal a bit but hit a block. Do you free hand all your stuff or do you use stamps and stencils? Curious minds you know!! I love the page out on your desk today! Have a great week. Vickie #32

  17. Hi Helen, it is irritating that a bit of snow causes so much chaos. Schools close these days, but I remember my dad and other dads digging a trench through the snow so we could get into our school in the 70s! Your line up of paints look great. I love the colours! Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely week Heather #31

  18. Hi Helen, there has been more snow here today than I have seen in years, it just hasn't stopped all day. I hope you manage to get to Kew, our park looked wonderful and I managed to take a few photos when I managed to find somewhere sheltered to take them even though you can hardly see anything except snow Lol!. Loving your journal pages and thanks for stopping over at mine. Happy woyww, Angela x16x

  22. It's been a drab day here with windy blowing the snow into little drifts - sounds like worse is to come. Nothing like we had in the 60s but then I am getting old and grumpy!!! Hope you get to Kew. x Jo
