Mop up journal page

I was making some atcs - some for the WOYWW anniversary in a couple of weeks, and some for a FB swap, and wiped the spare paint on my journal .
I haven't got any in progress photos, as was usual I got carried away playing..
the paints are all Paperartsy Frescos - don't ask me what colours now!!
I used some stencils from a Crafters Workshop stencil - it's called Fanciful Borders - in black, down the sides and across the middle of the pages.  I had to use the dotty stem border twice to fit the edge
the stamps are from the Paperartsy HotPick HP1602 and I've used Cornflower Blue  and Buttercup archival (the yellow barely shows)

added a bit more colour with Frescos to the butterflies
Did some white Sharpie pen doodling on just about everything..

added some more stamping in Red Geranium and Cornflower Blue

I covered the butterflies with a thin coat of 3D gloss gel and another layer of Fresco Gloss Glaze, before doodling on the wings

Finally, added some black archival ink around the edges of the page to close it in

Had so much fun with this page!

  11. As I said, a fabulous page. I was surprised that the dotty stems are a stencil - I thought at first glance they were a stamp, but I can see I shall have to go shopping either way.
