WOYWW 336 I should be making Christmas cards...

Hello and happy Wednesday, fellow deskers.  If you're not sure why I am sharing a picture of the mess that is my workspace today, check Julia's here

well as the post header says, I should be making Christmas cards... I'm not.. not right now anyhow.. I did move the masterboards that I've made (a couple at the WOYWW crop the other week, and one I did earlier at home) to the workspace to try and encourage me.. so far it's not working..  I had better stay in all weekend and get on with them!

So short and sweet from me this week, to make up for last time!  I'll see you at Julia's!

  2. Crikey Helen, that is short for you and no new stuff to show us. You are not alone on the C Card front - I have yet to start but i don't think I will be making that many this year. Too much going on so will be heading for the shops.

  3. I guess it's about time for me to start thinking about Christmas cards too... haven't put my mind to it yet though. Maybe I will carve a nice stamp (as I do most of the years, when the deadline gets real close...) Have a nice week! Happy woyww and love from the Netherlands, Marit #11

  4. I rushed to link you and you were already here! Sorry for late link, I scheduled it, but no idea why it didnt work! I love that you're still resisting the Christmas stuff. I totally get it, its like although there's a deadline, its OK to do other stuff first, there's still time..and there is really. Specially as since you've done three masterboards already, they are as good as done.Ahem.

  7. Linda and I talk all year about 'starting our Christmas cards early'. We even buy stuff intending to get us in the mood! But, yet agai, here we are with no idea of what we are going to make. Ha ha! Loving those masterboards. Perhaps some non traditionalis with that star background?

  9. You're not alone I've only made one so far. But I'm cheating as such this year and only giving to close family and friends. I'm donating to my fundraising instead. Loving the boards, you always create such depth with layers and colours. Take care Zo xx 31

  11. Hi Helen, you are not alone, I really need to get started on some Christmas cards, like you, maybe this weekend! Mind you, I also need to get started on some Christmas shopping- at least almost all that will be online, so no traipsing round shops.
Love your masterboards, must try doing some- something else on my todo list, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #7 xxx

  14. Halfway there, Helen, now those lovely masterboards are done. All you have to do now is cut and stick...
    Take care. God bless.

  15. I don't make a lot of cards myself, but I am thinking of doing some mini plaques this year...if there's time. As always I have huge plans which generally have to be drastically scaled back.

  16. Tsk - Christmas card-making detention for you! But it really shouldn't be a chore. Take a new spin on the whole thing - make some non-Christmas cards and send those instead... I can't preach - I find card-making tricky at best and tortuous at worst - hence the digital versions!

  17. How has Christmas crept up so quickly this year?! I am making christmas cards but only as a diversionary tactic which takes me away from the far more time consuming job of making christmas presents! Happy crafting :-) Max #18

  18. I am also struggling to get to making any Christmas cards as I can't get my quilting projects finished. Shall I pop round and jingle some bells outside your window to get you in the mood!Ali #61

  19. Just the thought of Christmas is scaring me. At least you've sort of started to get there. Love the one with the Christmas trees.

  21. Hi Helen,
The masterboards look good, particularly the top one. No Christmas cards happening here yet!
The Smash books are worth getting, if really on sale, if only because the pages are such nice quality, and the cover is definitely perfect for altering :)

  22. Oh I do say! I love that photo of me and Jan! Well snapped. It's always lovely to see the WOYWW crowd, although I am feeling on the outs of it all a bit with the chaos of my life. SO glad I ditched the in-laws for a day and made the crop happen. Just one more visitor to move on and things will get back to normal (or what passes as!) Love your journal page and good luck on the triptych. Fab masterboards as well :)

    late ... again!
