Hi, welcome along for another challenge from the DragonsDream this fortnight, it's the turn of Silvia, who's chose the colour Orange, and a letter. Your choice of letter...
I chose B and decided to use some stamps I've had for over a year probably and never used!!
I gessod the tag, then painted it with Tango Fresco paint. Stamped the leaves onto the tag, and painted them with Holly Fresco, then stencilled grunge paste round the tag.
I edged the tag with Florentine Treasure Gold (after I took this picture!)
I stamped 3 of the flowers from the Dylusions plate Fancy Florals (the never before used stamps) - two on a page from a book in Orange Blossom archival and one on plain copy paper, in black archival, which I then painted with Autumn Fire Fresco.
I stapled the layers of flowers together and stamped "bloom" from the JoFY11 plate. I used 3d foam pads to raise some of the petals.
I painted a grungepaper 'b' with Butternut and then Smoked Paprika, before adding Treasure Gold in Florentine and White Fire.
Finished it with a bright orange ribbon.
Hope that you'll come and see what my team-mates have done, and play along with the challenge too. Don't forget you need to use at least one real stamp on your tag
One of my favourite stamp sets from Dyan looking fabulous placed upon a warm luscious background.
ReplyDeleteFabulous Tag Helen:-) xxx
I love how you did the flower, raising some of the petals with the 3D pads. Florentine goes so well with orange too. I would like to have seen the tag when you added it. It's lovely with the bright, glossy ribbon too, finishes it off perfectly! xx
ReplyDeleteThat flower is lovely Helen. Pleased I am not the only one with stamps still waiting for ink.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed we all turn up tonight, but still hold enough back for the weekend.

ReplyDeleteReally?...stamps purchased and not yet used?...who could play like that? (**as I'm snickering because I know this all too well**) LoL Fun Spring-like tag with lovely shades of orange. The 3-D flower is great. I love it stamped on text.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tag - I tend to steer away from orange, but this is a lovely shade (Tango, you say?) and I love the texty texture and gorgeous layered flower.
