Well, after missing last week completely I had to have a go this time... and on Wednesday the lovely Joanne Wardle was back with some "simple" cards... you can see her's here
I made three - but one was a bit of a disaster, so I'm not sharing that one!
My Kraft card isn't the best - I bought a pack of A4 card at a show, and it's really not card-making quality, it's not smooth, so quite hard to work with (blaming my tools, you see!)
Anyhow, this one is with the Lin Brown flower, a Paperartsy background and a Kaisercraft clear stamp. I used archival for the background text, as I really didn't want to get paint in all those spaces!!
Added some splatters too, after I'd "finished" - Joanne is right, it adds something that just makes it better!
and this one, with the solid leaf (although not solid paint-application!!)
Entering the Paperartsy challenge here... now off to melt some more somewhere - all I can say is, thank goodness Fresco paint IS so slow drying, couldn't have born to use the heat gun today! The thunderstorm that woke me in the middle of the night doesn't seem to have got rid of any of the humidity.
Great cards Helen xx
ReplyDeleteLovely cards Helen! I'm just off into the craftroom now. Might just be bearable today although still sticky at least I don't have the sun beating down.

ReplyDeleteLovely CAS cards, Helen. Well, blaming your tools isn't always wrong, you know! Good quality stuff makes a huge difference, but you have created two lovely cards with gorgeous stamp choices, so no need to worry about that Kraft card! Julie Ann xx
ReplyDeleteThe weather has a huge effect on our crafting tools/supplies so our choices are important.
ReplyDeleteBoth your cards look very special as you left some space which helps to see your stamping.
Awesome makes Helen:-) xxx
Lovely cards Helen!!
ReplyDeleteTerrific cards, I've got to try this. I had to use my heat gun the other evening to finish a project for Lisa & it was not a pleasant experience. Probably added to the temp in my craft room by about 10 degrees. :)

ReplyDeletevery effective - I've some dodgy card at the moment, bends at the edges and makes stamping difficult, well that's my excuse x
ReplyDeleteI really like the quote on that second one Helen.
ReplyDeleteThese look fab Helen!
ReplyDeleteDon't think I can take much more of this horrendous humidity!
