Scraping in at the last minute with this! Kristen's first challenge was launched last Monday for the new Summer of Colour series. This week's colours are Aqua blue, yellow, and a splash of hot pink.. eek!
In the end, I stuck some torn book pages together, painted them with Paperartsy Fresco paint in Bora Bora and Lemon Zest, and die cut the Tim Holtz cones. I glued them together to make a giant ice cream cornet, and stamped and wrote Summer of Colour on scrap paper
my splash of hot pink is a sprayed paper flower, I used Dylusions Bubblegum Pink.

Fab idea Helen. X
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun idea and it uses the colours well! This looks like such a fun challenge. I think I remember hearing about it last year too. Julie Ann xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely depiction of the theme Helen.
ReplyDeletePleased to see 'our' boys shining out in Brazil even if the scoreline is not as we hoped.

I'm SO glad you went from the thinking stage to the making stage. And it's a beauty, too. Ice cream cones SCREAM summer, and these cones look good enough to eat.
