it's time for WOYWW 224

Well, here we are. Wednesday 18th September. (probably, depending on whereabouts you are, reading this!) A dark morning/evening (again, depending...) or maybe it's bright and sunny.  At the time of writing this (Tuesday night, I confess!) it's already dark.  I do love Autumn as a season, apart from the early dark nights and late dark mornings... but you can't have it all!

Anyway it's time for WOYWW  once again. I had lots of comments about the amount of books I shared (and only one of you mentioned the dust on the chair at the table, for which I thank you, never let it be said I spend my life cleaning.... apart from my stamps!)

This week I have a decorated cherry box for you (you may remember the cherry box I bought some weeks ago which would be "useful" - well it has become useful!)
It has been decorated into use as a stamp storage! (read about it here if you have time)

It was borne out of necessity as the box beneath, where the Paperartsy Minis used to live, was too packed! Now there is a bit of wriggle room in it that I will soon fill up....
on the floor is evidence of a blog comment win (the Kaisercraft stamps) thanks to Snazzy for those! and some Bombay Inks -acrylic inks in yummy colours - inspired to buy those from another blog I stumbled across. They are resting on my latest journal page

Also in sight are a couple of birthday cards for my boss at work and another work colleague both of whom celebrate this week.  The cards came from my stock box as I didn't have time to make new ones...

I am looking forward to a spending splurge (again!!) at Ally Pally on Saturday at the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show - are you going?  I will be spending (time and money!) at Paperartsy and the MDF man .
It is a great day out and another tweet-up is promised for a gang of us from Twitter, which just makes the day even more fun.  So, yes, watch this space next week, there will be (more) new stash on show.... Sorry, Mary-Anne!
I'd better let you go, I have waffled on for ages and we're meant to keep these posts short and sweet... not my strong point!  Have a good week, and if you can see dust anywhere here this week, please don't mention it..!!

  5. Well done you, Helen! Life's too short for cleaning! What does it say about me that I didn't even notice. Now, when I say life's too short for cleaning, you have to realize that I need you, Helen! Kevin has barely started those cupboards and remember your rash promise... Thanks for sharing all your lovely things. I wish I could see you on Saturday, but I'll be at Ally Pally on Sunday. Never mind I'll try to make it to the Craft Barn next summer. Julie Ann x #45

  6. Lucky you to be able to go to Ally Pally on Saturday. I still haven't made it to that show. You look like to are getting sorted big time and I was thinking of you as I waded through my craft mess this week.
Great to join in again...love Jo x

  7. Actually, Helen, I've realised that what you need is your own, personal TARDIS.....the room looks small on the outside but inside contains all the space a paperaholic needs ;-)
    Have fun at Ally Pally!

Loving having a peek at your world today. It all looks like fun from here. Is there a PaperArtsy stamp you don't have? I'm not going to Ally Pally this time unfortunately, work on Saturday and a full class on Sunday (Playing with PaperArtsy so it'll be fun) Have a great time and I look forward to seeing the results of you day.

  24. I was so disappointed to learn you picked up Bombay inks and not Bombay gin, but I'll let it slide as there is probably a lot more fun to be had with the inks. Love the cherry box. It is a great storage solution. I loved how you unashamedly admitted that you are going to spend lots of $$ and increase the stash. You go, girl!!!!

  25. Hi Helen,

Have fun shopping! The cherry box looks great! I'll go back and take a look at the post. I noticed the bird stamp (kind of looks like one of my doodles) and the dragonfly. Very cute!

Your journal looks like you've had fun making a bunch of pages.

Thank you for visiting me already!!!

    Happy WOYWW

  28. Oh I hope you won't be hurt by a book project I'm working on. So let us know how you like those acrylic inks. I've seen on 'N' the German lady's blog and on Carolyn Dube and InksStainswithRoni. I'll also be watching what you do with them. :) Friendly stalking....tehe. And the Bo's looks great! Nice recycling! Thanks for the earlier visit! Happy WOYWW! Nan G #3

  30. Great recycled cherry box. You always have the funnest stuff to look at since I am not a stamper/paper person like that. All the papers, stamps and gadgets! Have a great time this weekend shopping and bringing home lots of new stuff to share! Rasz #102

  31. One thing I love about WOYWW is seeing the germ of an idea for a project and then seeing it completed a week (or more) later. It always makes me look at things I have hanging around with a new eye.

and cleaning?? DOH! Yesterday I spent the entire block of time I had set aside for WOYWW hopping trying to sort out a problem with my internet and/or router, and in the middle of all that found I was going to have to do a dinner party for a long-time friend who has been living in Thailand and India for the last about 15 years. we only see him every 4 or more years so no way to pass up the chance. THANK GOODNESS I had actually spent some time on TUESDAY actually cleaning while the mail server was down. I'd have been mortified had I not done that LOL! Sorry to dribble on, but maybe the point is I never even NOTICED any dust in your photos :)

Happy (now my internet is back) WOYWW!
