Hallo, it's time for the mega blog hop that is Wednesday workdesk day, WOYWW - week 163 (despite the lovely Julia thinking last week was....) Having had quite a productive few days at the end of last week, I haven't done a lot since - but there are a couple of part done journal pages (again!)
Got as low down to the floor as space allows me for this shot - which is, not very! You get to see the mess behind the craft mat though... a pile of part inked tags and atc's and bits and pieces...
Not at all sure where this journal page is going - I may just abandon it... for a while at least.
This one is a bit bright and funky - started with a couple of flower stencils (crafters workshop) in squeezed lemonade and wild honey, and a touch of picked raspberry... and some leaves in mowed lawn.
It needs a bold central image - not sure what yet, may have to go with my fave Dina Wakley 'lonely girl' or the 'silhouette script' girl I used in the previous page above! I'll probably also doodle on the solid leaves...
The one I was working on last time is finished here
I'll try and catch as many of your desks as I can this week... have a good one!!
Great journal page, Helen! What fun we can have with all the materials at our disposal these days - today I've been having fun with my new Dylusions inks! Brilliant stuff - such vibrant colours! I haven't made such a mess for ages!!

I don't know where you are going with the journal page, but I love it!! waving hi from hills of North Carolina :) ( not yet numbered )
ReplyDeleteOooh great page you have started there - I seem to get as far as the background and then lose interest at the moment with art journalling - not sure why. Cant wait to see how yours finishes up. Thanks for sharing - Sunshine Girl No. 58

As ever I adore all your pages and wish I had the same flair for Art Journaling. Tried to find one of the mags you had on your desk last week in Sutton but to no avail. The air thingy was rather expensive at over £11 but it is super blowy. BJ#79
ReplyDeleteSome more fab pages, your journal is a true work of art.

ReplyDeleteI like your journaling, but then I'm a book kinda gal...
ReplyDeletei cannot for the life on me decide if I like the arty panetone numbers or the rather bizarre craft description for colours, hence I tend to invent my own,
Luke to me " where is my passport mum'
Me to luke ' in the peachy passport purse?
luke " what?"
I pass him the purse
On he says you mean the brown wallet???
must be a perception thing...
dxxx thanks for coming my way earlier
Nice colourful pages Helen ;)

ReplyDeleteOoh! I love the floral journal page, it looks so jungle-y and inviting. I really like the bird's eye view and I appreciate your getting down that low to do it. I've tried it before and learned that it isn't so easy to do (or get back out of).
ReplyDeleteI want to see how you finish the journal page. Thanks for stopping by. #30

Am loving the vibrancy of this page and I must get back into my journalling. I always think it doesn't matter what you do and if I do a background and then wonder where to go next I just leave it for later. Think I probably have some pages that are months old (if not years).
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing - Hugs, Neet xx
Hey, bright and funky is fun! I'm awfully late for WOYWW, but very glad I made it here!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
