WOYWW 408 - still journalling

Here we are again - Wednesday and another desk sharing day... WOYWW, week 408 - I am sure you know the routine by now  - link up over here at the Stamping Ground and visit as many as you can before it's Wednesday again!!

First up the desk  floor  shot...

last week's journal page, now doodled....think it is finally finished now!

birthday card (above the journal)

everything else is just stuff!  boxes of and piles of, stuff...

the finished journal page... did some doodling and scribbling

oh, and to answer Julia's comment, no I didn't know where I was going at the tissue stage - I just knew I wanted to add stencilling over the top.. the black just happened!
Made a mixed media style card for my friend
Kirsty at work (her birthday today so I can share this here although I doubt she'll see this anyway)

couple of close ups of the details

Hope you all have a good week, I'll stop by your desk soon!

I love the freedom that journalling gives you, just start and see where you go. There's not much in life that doesn't require any planning is there!!
Your canvas is absolutely gorgeous, your friend will be thrilled with it, a beautiful gift.
Have a good week

Now there is a floor after my own heart! Lots of lovely piles! Your journal page is awesome - I love the black with the large letters - it reminds me of those scratch picture we did in school, where we would crayon over the whole page, then scratch our picture out. What a beautiful birthday card! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #35

What beautiful work, Helen, both the journal page and the card! The page is amazing and looks almost carved - very 3-D. Thank you for your good wishes both for our dry rot problem and for Phoebe - she seems happy enough and is eating - not vast amounts but she seems well at the moment. Glad you like my samples! I did some more last night. I have a few more to do and by that time my Distress Oxides might have arrived and I can start playing with them!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Fabulous doodle page - the butterfly looks amazing, and all the detail work on the lettering panels really brings it to life. Love the subtle shabby chic card - the simple design gives the vintage elements a modern twist.
