WOYWW 403?

It's that time again!  I really don't know where the weeks go.

Head here for the link to the best desks  you'll find...

Since last week I have been playing in a new journal, one with black paper. the piles of gels and pastes seems to be growing...

there are also a bag of bottle lids (Paperartsy infusions) which arrived on Tuesday, following a discussion at Stevenage with Leandra about the fact that I'd made the holes too big..

She sent me a new set.. free.. gratis... for nothing.
Excellent customer service
close up of the journal page... It's by Pink Pig.  I bought it in Glasgow when the girls and I went to the show at the SECC the year before last.... thought it about time I christened it..

lots of texture paste and stamping and flowers.... Need to find some words now, then it's done.
Watch this space!

This week is going to be hectic, so not sure when I'll be visiting, work is having a launch party for our new office (I will be in the original one) - they're only round the corner from one another -  and we're working on Friday till 8 and then Saturday 10 till 2...
but I hope to get time to visit some of you as normal today!

I imagine your approach to a page will be quite different with black as a base, instead of white. Lots of texture which looks great.

Love how you have "gone off the page" as it were with the flowers - looks most attractive.
Saw something about the new office the other day, hope you are not bothered you are staying in the new one and working such long hours, Saturday too. Still, you get back what you put in with your boss, it seems a great place to work, and you have some lovely treats. Don't know anyone who gets to go to Wimbledon and other places through work.
Hugs, Neet xx
ps yes, Leandra is lovely and that was extremely good service.Don't be too envious of my Seth class - I was ill for one I had booked last year and gutted, just glad I made this one.

More journals of loveliness I see. Great to get the bottle tops too. My son got me a badminton shuttlecock keyring for my birthday but had marked the order "to collect" by mistake (from Portsmouth!) and I took the phone call to OK the postage to be added and chatted to the lady saying it was probably for my birthday, so unbeknown to me/him she added a second keyring in pink as a surprise for me/him. Aw some people are lovely aren't they? BJ#10 (not so quick off the mark this week LOL)

Interesting to see the black journal pages - I bet that made you approach it differently. I remember my old art teacher who often gave us papers other than white to work with, it made us think outside the box, that's for sure! And you are a loyal customer of Paperartsy so you deserve good customer service :-D

I like your journal page. I have a Pink Pig journal too, but with white pages. I haven't thought of using one with black pages; will have to give it a try. Happy WOYWW Sarah #23

Black paper books are the best. I like writing on them in silver to see the magic of language appear. Your book looks great, keep up the great work and have a great week - EmbroidRage #2 x

Hi Helen, lovely page - working on black must be quite different from usual and be a bit of a challenge. Nice of your supplier to send the replacement lids. Good service like that gives you confidence to go back and order more ... not that I'm encouraging you :) Sounds like you have quite a busy working few days - hope it all goes well. Elizabeth x #35

Hello Helen,

I saw a card made with black cardstock and was totally impressed! White embossing really made the image stand out. Can't wait to see your journal pages on the black (unless the one you show is on black, in which you can't tell). I like how you went over the sides of the journal page with the flowers - very cool.

Oh, I know how work gets in the way. I'm still working full time but am hoping to retire in October!!

Congrats on being Numero Uno!

Happy WOYWW

OMG you won't be able to go to Kew! You are a dedicated and good employee!!
Remarkable how different a black page can make, those flowers really pop in the design against the dark, me like! Great and lovely gesture from Leandro, somehow not surprised by it at all.

The wanderlust classes are really good Helen, but I have to say require a time commitment to really get the most out of them, I know a number of people haven't yet 'done' the classes so I expect there will be a group who do it at the time and others that do it later- time permitting, I hope your busy end of week goes smoothly, thanks for the visit, Dxxx

Your page is going to be gorgeous, I know, Helen! It's lready looking fabulous. I assume from what you wrote that the new Infusions are now available? I must order them! I love those paints... Thank you for your sweet comment - yes, it's been a very rough ride and it's going to take time to get over it all, with the prospect of further surgery once this lot is all healed up, to make a more permanent repair of the hernia. Today I've done nothing but watch TV and sleep.

Love working with black card makes decoration stand out so much. I notice you work full time wonder where you find time to do all the crafting I am retired and have no time.

Love your florals against the black - so dramatic! How lovely of Leandra (though given you must be practically keeping them in business, so...!!). Sounds like a busy week - hope they don't overwork you too much.
