WOYWW 238 - Happy Christmas

Well I'll blog, but not sure when I'll be able to link up with Julia for WOYWW  unless someone can do it for me! Like you're none of you too busy eating and making happy with your families!!

Hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas - I had a bit of a disaster on Christmas Eve as I woke to dripping through the living room ceiling... coming from the loft.. We did have a bad storm, didn't we?!!

oops... it was too dark to start with and I couldn't see any missing tiles but it was wet in there! I rang work to say I wasn't going to be in, and luckily we've got the decorators in and he happened to know a roofer in my area who was willing to come and look... long story short, it was a cracked tile, replaced - on Christmas Eve. So thankful...
He recommended pricking a hole in the ceiling to release the water to prevent (hopefully!) a collapse..
so this is my desk today, lol!  Still catching drips 3 hours after he's been...Had to move a lot of stuff in case the ceiling came (comes) down...

Am at my brother's for Christmas Day, hence not being likely to link early, fingers crossed it will all be ok when I get home..

So I'll leave you with a picture of my brother and sister-in-law's card and wish you all a very happy and safe, Christmas!!

See you soon...
I did add a die cut 25 to the bottom corner, but seem to have forgotten to re-photograph it!!   Happy Christmas and here's to WOYWWing our way through 2014...

Oh you poor thing. What a sad way to start Christmas. At least your boss was understanding and you got it repaired before there was a REAL disaster.

Have a super Christmas with your family. I'm early, so no number, as usual. Happy WOYWW though, as well as happy Christmas, too.

I linked you. So you can rest easy and not worry about anything until you get home from your brother's.

WOYWW by proxy! Such a lovely community. At least it's one day I don't have to worry about my wish list growing - although it might be a good time for it with Gift money just waiting to be spent!

Enjoy the Holiday with family

Happy WOYWW Christmas!

Oh Helen, I'm sorry things got so rough yesterday. What a privilege to have already got it sorted - but it means all the tidying once the drips have stopped. Have a truly special Christmas Day with family. The storms were very bad in the South - we had ferocious winds here on the N Wales coast, and rain in heavy bursts - but nothing like many have experienced.
Take car.

So glad you found someone willing to come help at such short notice and at Christmas time too. We had snow through our loft earlier this year and need some tiles sorting but DH says it is OK for now. Love the card. Happy Christmas BJ#4

Happy Christmas Helen- glad you got your roof sorted after such a rotten start! Nice of the roofer to come over so quickly. It'll soon dry out with central heating running- look on the bright side-Imagine if you'd been away for a few days. Warmest Christmas hugs, Shaz #14 xxx

Oh, poor you, Helen. These disasters are always immaculately timed to spoil Christmas. Glad you were able to find a roofer, that has to be a miracle, and get the broken tile fixed. The rest can wait. Happy Christmas - have a wonderful day. Elizabeth x #13

Oh dear! What a terrible start to the holidays but hopefully that means you got all the bad parts over with. I hope the ceiling dries out nicely and doesn't require too much attention. Have a good day visiting! Judy #22

What a thing to happen at the worst possible time, you were so lucky to be able to get someone to sort it!
I hope your ceiling is still up.
I love the card, you might think you were late, but you are still a long way before me, and I am the lowest number I have ever been! Happy Christmas and WOYWW for yesterday!

We got told to prick a hole when we had a leak through to the kitchen from our bathroom. Scary isn't it? Glad you were able to get someone out on Christmas Eve :) Hope you had a lovely Christmas too x
